Next week on Wednesday 17 November at 6pm Neville Burt owner of Bokashi NZ http://www.bokashi.co.nz/about.htm has kindly agreed to host a workshop at the Gorge Road Community Garden.
Entry is a voluntary gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the community garden. Harvest Community Gardens Network is run entirely by volunteers.
If you would like to learn more about how Bokashi can be used in your home and/or at work to reduce the amount of food waste going to landfill and produce a useful resource to improve our soil and fertilise the plants around us, then come along to learn more.
Even if you are already using Bokashi, you may have questions that you'd like to ask Neville.
Please advise any friends or contacts that may be interested to attend.
Parking at the gardens is limited and we do not encourage members to bring their vehicles into the garden unless they are dropping off equipment and/or delivering materials. We recommend that you park at Matakauri Park and walk across to the garden. It's hard to miss us - there's a water tank and shed amongst the plots.
If you need directions to find the Community Garden, please contact any of the following members -
