The skills and principals to grow your own seeds.
This session includes:
- Crops appropriate to the Auckland region
- When best to grow for seed.
- Annuals and biennials
- Self-pollinating and cross-pollinating (by wind or insects) plants
- The number of plants you need to produce quality seed
- The cycle from seed to plant maturity (for eating) to producing quality seed.
- Harvesting the seed and selecting the best seed
- Disease transmitted by seed.
