Event Description

-with a deep ecology and community development emphasis-
Tui Community, Golden Bay, South Island, NZ
Feb 3-23 2011
Main Tutors- Robina McCurdy and Gary Williams

Come to a life changing course in an inspiring beautiful location. This longer 3week permaculture course allows more time to explore the theory and practices of permaculture, empowering you to use permaculture in your life and your land.

The course covers the standard 2-week international Permaculture Design Certificate curriculum, taught in an integrated hands-on way, culminating in several land-use design projects. The themes of deep ecology, community building and eco-village development will weave throughout our time of practical permaculture learning, which includes integrated orchard/animal design, mixed species forestry, microclimates for optimum organic food production, natural building, and design for sustainable social systems. Tui Community is a 25 year old, 40 member, rural residential community situated on 150 acres in beautiful Golden Bay.
