Lead by well known NZ permaculturist Finn Mackesy. This week-end workshop will provide participants with the skills to begin designing and developing their own properties, using ecological design principles, with the aim of diversifying and maximizing the production of food.
Working out the best size and location for a productive organic vegetable gardens
Type and size of the urban orchard, suited to the site and its environment
household waste management, small scale water management,
areas to attract wildlife, children’s play areas,
small scale animal systems,
quiet areas for reflection & recharging
The workshop takes place on 6-7th March, at Sudesh’s gardening community learning space (Remuera). Fees are on a sliding scale. $80 - $160 (The minimum fee is intended for unemployed, other beneficiaries, and low-income earners)
