i keep missing what is said or writen about the benifits of coffee grinds,whats it all about please.
or is this just the urban version of sea weed collecting

that made me smile :) i have read if you have copious quantities you can create a snail and slug barrier around your garden plants. they don't like the grittiness of it i guess. something i intend to do at some stage.... at the moment i just chuck mine in the compost - the theory being the more variety the better.
It sure does! I found two good websites in google, www.ehow.com (how to use coffee grounds in your garden) and www.greendaily.com (21ways to use old coffee grounds) You can get free bags of used grounds from Starbucks.
