Dwarf nectarine- do I pull off the fruit?

I purchased a dwarf nectarine tree during the winter. I see it already has quite a lot of fruit on it and it's only a baby. Do I pull the fruit off this year to allow the tree to develop? I know you do with citrus, but can't find any info about this with stone fruit or even apples.

I should mention, it isn't looking too flash- it has leaf curl - from all the rain I guess. I would have thought that the garden centre/ nursery would have sprayed for this while it was dormant?? Oh well... I hope it doesn't cause significant damage before I can correct the issue over next winter. I was wondering if should bring it under the verandah so that it can stay dry for a bit? It's in a 75 litre pot.

I purchased a dwarf peach tree a couple of months ago, and the advice (from Kings) was to take all the baby fruit off this year, and next year (dependent on the size of the tree) take most of it off - you don't want too much fruit weighing the branches down and breaking them. From the year after that, it should be fine.
