Wilton Street Community Gardens

The Grey Lynn 2030 transition town group has access to a piece of land on Wilton Street (behind the Gypsy Tea Room) for use as community garden. We plan to hold regular working bees on site on Sunday afternoon and are keen to recruit volunteers to get involved - so if you are interested please let me know. There's more information at the link below. http://www.greylynn2030.co.nz/focus-groups/gardening/

  • Hi - I live in Wilton Street and have seen the results of the work you guys have been doing. Great effort so far and I'd like to lend a hand. Let me know what time you start and I'll try to be there. Guess we bring tools? What are the next jobs ready to be worked on?

    Cheers,
    Ruth
  • My family would really like to be a part of this; how suitable is the work for children? My daughters are ages 6 and 8 and we (should!) garden as part of our wacky homeschool curriculum. But Mom (that's me) really needs a bit of motivation to make this happen, and working with our community would make it much more enjoyable.
