Ive taken on a project for the winter and that is replacing the 5 baths that ive been growing in since building my stone walled tunnelhouse,i'm doing so because 1,rats have dug there way under the foundations and live under the baths where our dog cant get at them and 2 ,baths are not an efficient use of space,as in there's a lot of room around outside of the base thats not used, so out they come one area at a time as the new stone raised are built.As you can see ive added layers of sheep netting where each wire is cut away in long lengths,then the connecting cross wires are bent around to aid to the reinforcement.

Will make a big difference Kali,managed to get the first stage done today along with the lettuces replanted from the second bath to be removed from the tunnelhouse which had a rat nest under it.

The far end is finished where ive added a plant pot area that was high enough that i didnt have to bend down to pick them up,pots that go here go from inside to outside in summer.

All done,just in time for planting of my first tomatoes which are nearing a meter tall,along 'Tellies' Capsicum and' Sikkim' Cucumber plants go in around the 15th of Aug

Looking great, how long ago did you sow your tomatoes??

Thanks Megan,Three of the tomatoes Napal,Azoychka and grubs mystery green were sown in May and have had them in a sunny window in the house,there's one other tomato thats a cutting taken at the end of last season,it was breed in the US and was named by myself called as Wherokowhai.

Pleased that stage is finished Kali,the next job which i'm in no rush to do is a lay the area between with flat stone,ive been collecting them but only have enough for a couple of meters.

Today was tomato planting time now that its starting to warm,peppers will go in next week along with cucumbers
