Hi all

I have LOADS of jeruselum artichoke tubers to give away - FREE to anyone who wants any!! Please take some - please take lots! I grew too many last year, got sick of them part way through winter, and now the ones left in the ground are sprouting madly! 

I am in Waipawa, but can arrange for them to be picked up from Napier or Hastings as well :)

Hi everyone. I am looking for some help please. IN my last place, I didn't have lawns to speak of, so my lawnmower was dormant for nearly 4 years. It was well covered and kept dry. Since moving to Waipukurau earlier this year, I have cleaned the mower, cleaned the spark plug, re-oiled and re-fuelled, but sadly I cannot get it started. The last time it was used, it went absolutely fine. I think it possibly is in need of a service, but unfortunately, I cannot afford that. Is there anyone who may be able to help me please? My lawns are desperate!

I have an abundance of quince available to share

as we have had to trim the tree in order to save it from toppling over, due to poor pruning!  If you would like some - we are in Morere, Northern Hawkes Bay...let me know...

I sure agree Richard - the way everything has grown with all the rain, but not a lot of joy with peppers and chilli this year.... they are there but not growing much , thought i might put them into my small green house , do you think they will come to anything now??  Or should i just discard them?? The ones that have done best are the left overs from last year...strange!

 Just something of interest , my mother lives in a residential area on the flat in town and has an opposum coming every night and neatly eating the skin off a lemon or two , not interested in anything else !!

I didn't realize there was a mtg recently, sorry to have missed. Sometimes I ignore ooooby Msgs too quikly bc they are often about AK. Hope you r all well and try for next time. Would be happy to do at my place then I'd b sure to come!

Helen - i put it down to just rainwater thats the reason why the parsnips are so tall,there's something in rainwater thats better than irrigation water
