Hi I'm new to this site and would like to know if anyone has had any experience of two herbs that I'm interested in at the moment. One is Brahmi which my daughter in law is growing to make tea for me grandson who has Aspurgess. The other I have is GotuKola which I haven't as yet tried but is for arthritis. Can anyone enlighten me on either of these herbs.

Yes, Nicolas, the mint will take over in there! It would be best on it's own in either another barrel, a decent size pot or a bucket. Then the other herbs in the barrel stand a chance.

Comment by Laura cristina on January 24, 2012 at 8:44am Love growing herbs on my window sill. Its good to always have access to the :)done it for years also haping to grow salad on there too soon.
No they are too narrow these days unless you are in older home, i do dry seeds there though and that works well !
No, it is a very harsh environment for them with extremes of temperatures. You are better off growing either in a window box outside, or in a tub outside the kitchen door.
