chook feed

Hi, where does everyone buy their chook feed from? I've been getting large bags from the petstore, wondered if theres a cheaper better option. ;-)

We get ours from Pak 'n Save. WE feed them a mix of mash and sprouted wheat. Costs about $10/10KG. Its probably not sustainable but it will do till I can get my sunflower/rye production going and ziong up the chook feed in the orchard for them.

We got our last lot from PG Wrightsons in Kumeu (on the main road)- it was about $32 for 25KG of pullet grower pellets as we have young chooks, but they had cheaper feed for laying chooks. They were really helpful too.
