Yes soak before popping, ive sent you a PM

Do you mean soak it before popping? I wouldn't think so? But I have heard (and try to) soak before sowing them to grow helps them germinate. These seeds might be 3-4 years old? Or at least, that's when I got them (from our local permaculture group seed bank).

I was given some pop corn seed from a lady in Nelson, but it didn't pop too well, are you suppose to soak the corn first?. So how old is the seed you have

Hi Richard, I do have popping corn - black and strawberry. Unfortunately the seed is quite old though so I'm not sure on how viable they are. I was planning to plant one lot out fully this year, with the hope some would germinate and I could refresh/increase my seed supply. Then grow the other next year with the same hope (trying to avoid cross pollination and don't have the time/space to grow both varieties this year!). Perhaps I could send you one lot and if we are successful we could exchange some back at the end of the season?!

Hi, is there any chance anyone has some Early Gem sweetcorn seeds? I'm also after purple asparagus seeds and anything from the Moschata family (squash) as well. Have loads to swap :)
