Comment by Gwynn Sturdevant on March 23, 2012 at 7:48am Hi Steph and welcome to the group. I posted a map similar to this for all of NZ on 28 Feb. You can look at it if you'd like, and email the people that maintain it to ask if other sellers can be added, of course, with the sellers permission. Gwynn
Morning folks, an odd thought: it would be good sometime to create a comprehensive 'raw milk map' for all the places in the Auckland region that still sell raw milk to the public - starting with the places we have all found. ;-) steph (...im always having odd thoughts at 6.00am!!!!!!)
Comment by Sweetpea on March 22, 2012 at 9:31pm Hi everyone, only joined Ooooby a couple of days ago. Am glad to be here. Am very interested in access to raw milk as I am making cheese at the moment. A bit sporadic but am a cheeseaholic but have found I am very into it. I am trying also to establish my winter veg garden but the elements and work commitment are a bit against me will keep going at it though. I know there are a couple of farmers selling raw milk in the Helensville area, unfortunately I am not privy to them despite being here like forever. Will keep my ears open.
Comment by Carly Jean on March 22, 2012 at 11:48am HI, I am moving up to Northland (Ngunguru- near Whangarei) soon and want to find a source of raw organic milk..... can anyone help??

HOME CHEESE MAKING
Saturday 31st March / 10 - 3
Sabine Drueckler / $110
Sabine will take you through all the steps of making a soft cheese, starting with the fresh milk through to storing the cheese. It is the same process, if you are making Blue Vein or a Brie style cheese. With a little variation you make Feta - you will gain the confidence to go home and make your own soft cheese. Sabine will also show you how to make yoghurt, quark and butter. No expensive special gear is required. Sabine uses equipment that you will find in most kitchens.
