Chicken and Dumplings

I tasted a Chicken and Dumplings dish years ago that blew my socks off. It was so good! I've tried a couple recipes but just nothing compaired with the one I tasted. I'm willing to try recipes until I die to find the right one!

  • Definitely use a stewing chicken as they're older chickens...the dark meat and the bones really add flavor. I like to use chives, dill, and some paprika in my dumplings.

    • Yes, I may just make it sometime this week...it's drizzly here this morning. Saturday I made old fashion Swiss steak over hot buttered noodles...one of Larry's favorites.
  • Try using old chickens! That is where the wonderful taste comes from. Another thing to do is make it using dark meat. Try putting some dill in your dumplings! Lots of things to try.
    • Yum! I need to find a good "dumpling" recipe. I love dill also. I know basil really is good to use too.
