Hi I am looking for a large crop of thin skinned lemons- probably Meyer to make a big bucket of pickle. Happy to swap or buy. Thanks
The Peoples Park at Te Atatu Peninsula by the motorway has grazing horses.
Take bags and scoopers.
Or... The top of Don Bucks Road by the Westagate roundabout has bagged horse manure.
I'm wanting a small bag of animal poo, about shopping bag full, or if anyone knows of anywhere out West that I can buy a sack/bag of horse poo. They seem to have disappeared from the places i normally go....Happy to pay or swap jam/ chutney.
The OooobyBox (a weekly delivery to your door with locally grown fresh fruit & veges), is now Out West! So if you are interested, go to our website www.ooooby.org and sign up for you own infusion of feshness... I will personally deliver the boxes... another good reason? Best, Annalily
I did wonder if you were going to do the temp thing with the haybales. Love the use of random items to finish the construction :) Suzie, I have been all inspired by the Eco housing workshops & really gone hard out in the garden & organising work on the house. Making in roads at last...Hope you're going well
You sound just lovely, follow your heart and everything will grow, and your friends will be happy...the feathered ones et al.
Sorry ladies, I don't think I know enough about earth plastering to make a permanent coop. Right now the haybales have been stacked around a rabbit hutch for temporary accommodation for growing baby chooks. I've placed corrugated plastic and a car cover over the top to keep the hay bales from getting wet. When the chooks have gotten a little older I'll insert sticks into the sides of the bales for roosting. After the chooks have grown and I've found them suitable homes I'm going to use the hay to mulch my garden.
Kirsty, it's lovely to hear from you again!
