Wanita Gardens in Henderson Valley Road does PYO. Not organic. There is a guy who sells organic strawbs [uncertified] in Oratia.

On your way to Kumeu, on the right hand side there is a new red warehouse  building,

you can buy punnets or pick your own.

The Peoples Park at Te Atatu Peninsula by the motorway has grazing horses.

Take bags and scoopers.

Or... The top of Don Bucks Road by the Westagate roundabout has bagged horse manure.

I'm wanting  a small bag of animal poo, about  shopping bag full, or if anyone knows of anywhere out West that I can buy a sack/bag of horse poo. They seem to have disappeared from the places i normally go....Happy to pay or swap jam/ chutney.

Anyone lost a couple of black silkies? This morning a pair, rooster and hen. were walking down South Titirangi road. I was alerted by the crowing at 7am.

We're starting a community garden in Swanson... anyone interested? Let me know! Coming Saturday we'll be visiting some neighbouring community gardens to get some ideas. Best, Annalily

Project Freestore  398 Great North rd is set up to redistrubute surplus food items and produce free of charge and will operate for a month - until Friday 11 March. Supply can't keep up with demand - there are a lot of struggling families out there. So any surplus vegetables or fruit would be really welcomed and can be dropped at Project Freestore  preferably between 9am- 3pm or collection could be arranged (if large amounts) ph Lou Lennane - 021 245 1454

Hiya Suzie,

I did wonder if you were going to do the temp thing with the haybales. Love the use of random items to finish the construction :) Suzie, I have been all inspired by the Eco housing workshops & really gone hard out in the garden & organising work on the house. Making in roads at last...Hope you're going well
