I have a chicken run and house all ready to go - but no chooks - does anyone know anyone on Island who breeds? Want quiet egg layers preferably no more than a year old.

Hi, looking for someone who loves food growing to look after our veggie gardens - including working out what best to grow where, sourcing / raising seedlings (heirloom), fertilising, weeding etc etc Approx 2 hours per week. Anyone interested or know someone who might be? Rate negotiable. 5090 or comment me back. Thanks :)

Hi there. I have one days work (approx 8 hours) available for two people, putting on vineyard nets, on either 25 or 26 January. $18/hour. Involves stretching out nets, and then pegging down. It is fairly physical and (usually) hot work. Contact me by commenting back or calling on 2220 if you are interested.

For Sale: Cayuga Ducks
6 weeks old, 12 in total, $10 each. First in first served as far as sex preference goes - not currently sure how many each each I have. They are just about fully grown. Mine started laying when they were 4-5 months old. Great for orchards, for fertilising and slug and snail control. Flightless so only need a knee high fence to contain. Any questions feel free to comment back or call on 2220

Does anyone know where to buy chook food on the Island? My regular supplier has gone on holiday. Also have lettuce seedlings and melon seedlings (mostly heritage varieties) ready to be planted if anyone wants some (might be a little late for melons- you'll probably need to a good hot spot).

I'm just about to prick out some white bunching onions (perennial, like a spring onion I think - I haven't grown them before) - having had an extremely good germination rate, does anyone want me to do some for them?
