Seed Swap Table this Sunday 11-1 at the Innermost Mt Victoria Gardens (location details). Bring seeds that you have to swap in envelopes clearly labelled with as much information as you know about them e.g. harvest date, variety, location grown, etc. Plus we will be in the garden from 10-1 planting a new under-story of wild flowers and herbs for the fruit trees. There will be a shared lunch at 1. Come along, plant some seeds, swap some seeds and enjoy a meal with us!

Hi Matt,

I have several seeds I saved from last years crop - my first batch of saved seeds.  You're welcome to some - Dill, Coriander, lettuce, silverbeet, a cpl of others I can't remember right now and (not that you need them as they grow without you trying) pumpkin.

cheers,
Ceedee

Hey Matt, I could give you about 30 - 50 seeds, collected myself, not sure if they are the ones with yellow/orange centres or black centres, but have either bright yellow or orange petals. Cheers.

I'm looking for calendula marigold seeds - an envelope full (at least a hundred or more seeds). Also, some phacelia. If anyone has a good stash of either of these or calendula plants that still have seeds on them I can collect, would love to hear from you. Cheers, Matt

Does anyone in Wellington have access to a decent Mulcher/Chipper. We have just cleared a whole bunch of trees and wanting to get some mulch out of them. Happy to share mulch.

Hi,

If you are over in the Wairarapa we have a limited supply of Worm Compost and Lemons...all fresh, all organic! Get your Worm Compost (aka worm castings) now and give your veges the best start when spring arrives.

Cheers,

Chris

Kia ora,

I am posting this on a few group's walls in the hopes of connecting with people in the Wellington area that are passionate about seed saving (and hopefully also seed breeding). I like the idea of getting together a loose network of people and sharing knowledge and ideas, etc. I like the idea of Wellington having its own supply of seeds from cultivars well suited to our unique climate!

I'm interested in finding people in Wellington who already have some knowledge and expertise in seed saving. I would love to hear from you or if you have ideas of people to contact, it'd be much appreciated.

Cheers
Matt

Can anyone give me a tip about a good place to get a decent amount of seed potatoes? We are wanting to plant them for our food bank so want a whole lot for not a whole lot of money!  Thanks.
