Finishing off the year with full-day workshops for the keen and hungry! Give the gift of education and enthusiasm for sustainability this Christmas and taste the results in next year's jams, pickles, chutneys, cakes, cookies, health and happiness!

Hi everyone...,

We are currently looking for a medium to long term place to park our caravan in the wellington area. Ideally we would love to live with like-minded people in a small community, be in the country, would love to garden together and be social.... We have been living in our caravan in Upper Hutt for about 6 months, but need to move, as the land we are on is being sold.
But if have some land or know someone with land, we would love to meet up and talk about the possibilities.
Thanks for your help!

If you are wanting some horse manure for your garden - send me a message and we can arrange a day that suits to collect - either a weekday during school hours, or a weekend.......

Hi Steve, it is about an 8mx5m garden plot. Please send me a message if you're interested in checking it out. There is also a new Community Garden in Houghton Valley. There will be a meeting this Sunday 15 Aug 2pm, for anyone who is interested, just behind the playground at Houghton Valley School. It's a GREAT north-facing slope that has just been cleared of blackberries. We plan to get the compost started on Sunday. Anyone who is interested in having a plot there should come along!

There is an IDEA (Intellectual Disability Empowerment in Action) Services house in the neighbourhood where it would be a good opportunity for the right person/s to share the garden space. It is a bit much for the guys there to look after it all by themselves, but they are really interested. We've helped them start a veggie patch and get a compost going but there's the potential for more!
