Wellington suppliers: mulch, compost etc

Hi folks. I'll be visiting Wellington next week to tackle a big gardening project and wonder if a knowledgable local could tell me a good source for buying compost, mulch, punga logs etc. Less than trailer-load quantities because of access/parking problems. I'm sure there's a better option than Mitre 10. Thank you heaps in anticipation

(#!*!?#% we just had 30 seconds of hail here in Whanganui! And me with the courtyard packed with hundreds of plants waiting for transport to Welly. In the middle of November. Unbelievable!)

Somebody was wondering if KUMERAHOU grows in the Wellington area...The answer is that it does NOT grow naturally there...I have seen it growing only as far south as my hometown of Te Aroha in the Eastern Waikato. But with saying that...I know of 3 growing in Pukekura park, New Plymouth that I show to my students when I facilitate Indigenous plant medicine seminars...BUT even here it doesn't like it very much because of the colder climate.

If it was to grow in Wellington it would have to be grown sheltered against the southerly and remember - Kumerahou only grows in POOR soil...it hates potting mix or 'good' soil!

You may have heard rumours about a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture scheme) in Wellington? Yes, we exist! We are now accepting harvest share subscriptions at any time of year (not restricted to seasonal intakes as it used to be).

A great way to learn about the CSA and the produce we grow is to come to our farm day on Sunday, the 30th of September.

Hey Cesar! Thanks heaps for the spinach - found it as you had said, in the triangle beds. You can find us as "Kai O Te Aro" community gardens. We have three sites up Aro St - the first one is opposite Aro Park down a little alley on private land. The other two are on university land further up Aro St, one up some steps, and the other at the end (just before Holloway Rd) next to the hall. We rotate and garden wherever is most needed. You're welcome to join us at any point, even if you just want to come check it out! We meet 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month outside the community centre at 10am, all welcome. 
Thanks heaps for the spinach, it will grow well on our Steps garden on the bank, very much looking forward to it.
