Southland Seed Savers Network

Information

Southland Seed Savers Network

Established in 1999 we are working to keep a living network of seeds that do well in Southern New Zealand.  We hold seed saving courses twice a year.

We really need more seed savers in Southern NZ.

Great to hear-  the old folks said that tomato seeds are viable for 10 years so we kept them for 12!

I wonder if there is a good list for NZ of seed viability per variety.

I planted some Milton green silver beet 2003 and none has appeared after two weeks - I kind of hoped one seed would come through!

Hi Robyn, I see the alicante and ailsa craig tomato seeds I sowed have come  up today, I am happy because they were such old seeds, over a decade old!
