Have you ever seen the Lasagna gardening method? Place newspapers over the grass a little larger than the size of your raised bed. Then pile your compost, straw, hay, leaves and whatever else you have of an organic nature, on top. Construct your bed frame, of course, then let the pile choke out and kill the grass.

With our Bishops Stream Community Garden we have constructed wonderful Macrocarpa raised beds. We will be building up the beds with sheet mulchiong and would like to know if anyone has any advise about how to get rid of Kikuyu grass organiclly"
