Comment by Josh Wooler on April 10, 2012 at 8:35pm Hey chez ken macrocarpa is fairly cheap and is highly durable stands up to the weather well. this person used clear grade macrocarpa which is definitely nicer without the knots it's up to you whether you want to pay the extra for it.
Comment by Fiona Drummond on September 8, 2011 at 9:41pm Here is a contact for Landscape Grade Untreated Macrocarpa 200mm wide x 100mm thickness with 2 clear faces. Ideal for raised garden surrounds $7.50 per metre plus small charge for lengths cut to size.
Call Garrick or Diana on 810-9808 .
In response to Chez Ken, treated timber would last longest, but with it come chemicals that leach into the soil, so untreated is preferable, with macrocarpa a good option.
