These are Rengarenga lily....in pre-european times they were cultivated for there fleshy tuberous root which is apparently edible though I've never tried them. give it a go and let me know haha :)

Can anyone help me identify this plant? I've got loads of them in the place where I'm about to start my veggie patch and want to know what they are before I start pulling them out. I can always relocate them if they're worth keeping and they'd take kindly to transplanting?
