Tell us about your garden and what you're growing
Climbing Beans (10+ varieties), Tomatoes (5+ varieties), Sweetcorn, Cucumber, Peas, Choko, Radishes, Carrots, Pak Choi, Broccoli, Potatoes, Rocket, all sorts of Lettuce, Strawberries, Raspberries, Naranjila, Figs, Grapes, Olives, Guava, Broad Beans, Silverbeet, Spinach, Spring Onions, Capsicums, Eggplant, Zucchini, Rockmelon, Watermelon, Pumpkin, Squash, Cress, Tamarilos, Kale, trying companion planting/beneficial insect attraction/medicinal herbs with Sunflowers, Marigolds, Mina Lobata, Lavender, Nasturtium, Echinacea, Wildflowers, Phacelia Tanacetifolia, Cleome, Foxglove, Calendula, Borage and also Comfrey for the compost, and trying Blue Lupins and Mustard as a green manure cover crop...
And though i'm not growing them exactly, i'm collecting copious amounts of fallen leaves from a nearby park and surrounding streets for leaf mould/potting mix down the the track...
I've challenged myself to use only found/second-hand/re-used/re-configured materials in the garden wherever possible... and it's almost always possible. Half a day clearing a friends' bamboo patch and the resulting stakes have proved invaluable... Now there's bamboo everywhere. Also i'm gently cultivating my own... Luckily i have an understanding/uncaring landlady (though she won't allow chickens as she lives over the back fence... Curses!)
Good to see you on Saturday. Hope you had a good weekend. I just reaslised I don't have your regular email address. Could you email me at charlimaar@gmail.com and I'll send you the minutes from our meeting.

This is the first time I have browsed through your photos. You're really going for it! Would you be up for a group visit to explore what you have going on?

Hey Adam. Just letting you know that we have decided to hold ooooby-versity sessions monthly now instead of weekly. First Thursday of the month. Next session will be on the 7th of October.
So glad you enjoyed the tour. I had a good time giving it. I will try and get the photo from Joanna at New Lynn Primary and put it on ooooby. They were so cute and proud. Thanks for the feedback.
