"Hi Jacob, The drawing is a bit rough but I hope it does the trick to show how - both ideas are excellent in heat and water rationing a) hessian water bags in the direction of the heat, or b) hessian draped over a tub of water "

"I have ringed my whole back yard with brick raised garden beds, and used stones with no worries in the heat The big plus with them is that they have thermal mass - so long as you keep them wet in the heat they will hold the cool for your plants and…"

Help!! Do You Have Any Natural Solutions for Preventing Bug Bites that WORK!! (continued)

Thanks for your thoughts

I wasn’t sure how you were planning to dispose of the eggs especially as some of the over 3,500 species have very resilient eggs:

For instance, Wyeomyia larvae typically get frozen into solid lumps of ice during winter and only complete their development in spring. The eggs of some species of Aedes remain unharmed in diapause if they dry out, and hatch later when they are covered by water.

Definitely use concrete on the end posts. I used to belong to the Rare Fruits in Adelaide..... an incredible bunch of fruit enthusiasts and that espalier site of theirs is what I based mine on.

Long time no see, Anja! Great if you can grow fruit trees or put in vegetables at work, Anja. Funny you mentioned espaliering a persimon..... I was just thinking the same thing myself, today! Join in World Kitchen Garden Day by having your own celebration, even just lunch out in your garden.
