can you prune broccoli

My broccoli plant is getting huuuuuge... well, this is my first time ever growing vege which is really exciting.  Planted seeds back in Oct. now these massive leaves are covering other plants around.  Just wondering if I should prune the plant? Would that make it yield better fruit?See More
