"It doesn;t quite look like Acanthus to me, aren;t there leaves entire and also much larger, and they sucker madly....if this wasn't suckering, it was something else."

"These are Rengarenga lily....in pre-european times they were cultivated for there fleshy tuberous root which is apparently edible though I've never tried them. give it a go and let me know haha :) "
