Now I understand! I work at the Tokoroa Community Gardens in Braeside Ave - by Pete's panelling. Which group do you work with in Tokoroa? We may be able to come to some arrangement. I haven't spoken to anyone about this yet so cannot promise anything!

Hi, Kathryn! I'm in Tokoroa. Perhaps I can help. What tools do you want to borrow?

Hi Kathryn, Yip daylilly tubers are edible and delicious, so are the new spring shoots (cooked) the unopened flower buds gently fried in butter and pepper are also delicious.

I'v herd that some people can be allergic to the starch in the roots, so try a small amount first wait an hour for a reaction. no reaction? then your away :)

We had about 7 people come.  Interesting discussion but we didn't get far in as far as moving forward.  But did give me some ideas which will mean we can get the ball in motion and then hopefully more people will be willing to volunteer to help

Hi Kathryn, thanks for the tip with the Eco Design Advisors. We didn't know about it and are certainly going to check it out. We looked at our star rating, which is two so far :-P, with the biggest minus the single glazing, but then that's nothing new! Anyway, it's great that something like that is out there.
