Tell us about your garden and what you're growing
We just bought a new house which has a very large sunny, but mostly sloped section. Having had little gardening experience, aside from weeding as punishment when we were kids, I'm a bit hopeless but I have BIG plans for this garden. At the moment, it's only an orange tree, a lemon tree and a lot of rose bushes, but I dream of one day having a cottage garden which produces a pile of food. Watch this space!

HI Kristy,

Square foot gardening is about arranging a max of veggies in the smallest space. You have to buid your soil. I think lasagne is fine, and digging is fine also to start with a soil that's not too great. In any case , get your composting going , to raise activity in your soil. Uses the forces of nature, all those micro organisms and good bacteria are ready to work for you
