Hi Marion its Chris Wilson from Honeymoon Valley... you never made it up here last time I saw you in the North. I'd love to show you round next time. Thought you might help me network our heritage apple trees. Special offers; apple%20poster%202013.pdf or on the web http://tastytrees.co.nz for the full list.
The trees are looking great this year and well hardy after the long dry with no irrigation!
best wishes
Chris

Of course Marion, thank you. I can see you now across the table in the local pub, telling me about Rimu's whanau.
I am curious, is the local backyard food growing scene in HB a booming thing these days? What does it need to increase it?
On Waiheke, I reckon the things that will help are more workshops (knowledge), manpower with tools (services) to assist in the installation of garden beds of various kinds, and all the advice about what the soils need and how to conserve water while keeping the plants healthy.
PS Can I help you get a photo up here?

Welcome Marion. Good to see you here. Are there other ooooby types in your neck of the woods. It would be great to see a Hawkes Bay group.

Hi Marion - forgive if I should know, but are you part of Transition Hawkes Bay?
