Pollinators, Predators and Pests

I am part of a community farm called Gricklegrass in Oxford, North Canterbury, New Zealand. For the last 16 years i have been an avid gardener, seed saver and survivalist. We have been approached by many people from New Zealand and internationally who are in awe of our colourful array of heritage vegetables some of which they have never tasted before. People are astounded to learn that when you cultivate the older varieties of vegetable you don’t need to plaster them in expensive petrochemical pesticides and fertilisers to get an abundant crop. It seemed to us, that with a bit of basic instruction and armed with a good quality seed bank anyone can feed their family a healthy self-sufficient diet. I specialise in Seeds, Garlic, vegetable seedlings, Jerusalem artichokes, Orchard consultation/management and have an extensive collection of Maori and heritage potatoes.
