My name is Serra, and at this very moment I am sitting in an office in Christchurch, dreaming of what I could (Should!) be doing. Although currently office-bound workwise, my background is conservation science, ecological monitoring, and ecological restoration. I am experienced in native plant propagation, pest plant control, plant nursery management, and working with volunteers.

thinking of spring...

My inaugrual post!!

I have just moved to a new house in a new town, on a new island! We have a front yard which faces north (good- this is the Southern Hemisphere) and which is almost completely bare apart from a small rosemary shrublet and some just emerging bulbs (Sparaxis, maybe? I'll keep you posted on that one). I am already planning what I am going to plant and where, and have been eying up the Zoodoo website (awesome people!!)

I got the spuds from Koanga :-) They are great, definitely our favourite and very easy to prepare as they just need washing (no peeling/scraping)
