pretty wintery on the garden front. The last of my Braeburns are off the tree, the rainbow chard and brassicas are doing their thing, along with rocket, mizuna, coriander (under the brocolli), baby turnips, beetroot radishes and garlic.
Half the garden has just had compost and bags of horse poo dug through, and is bedded to wait for spring planting.
Roll on September so I can get sowing inside!

The next amazing chapter! Velo Flora

In September I shall leave the oh so comfortable, unchallenging, stressful office job I have had for the last four years, and throw myself into the glorious, terrifying deep end of self employment.

I am starting a garden consultancy, design and maintenance business. Oh yep, another one of those.

BUT, I am going to attempt to do it all using a cargo bike instead of a ute!

The cargo bike, or Bakfeit, is named Flora. The name of my business is Velo Flora.

Seeking the next project...

Hi all Oooobyites

My name is Serra, and at this very moment I am sitting in an office in Christchurch, dreaming of what I could (Should!) be doing. I'll keep you posted on that one). I am already planning what I am going to plant and where, and have been eying up the Zoodoo website (awesome people!!)

The weather has been very mild for August. People… Continue

I got the spuds from Koanga :-) They are great, definitely our favourite and very easy to prepare as they just need washing (no peeling/scraping)
