"Hi Shayna,  my friend Neil has heaps of free range eggs from his hens in his backyard in Glen Eden.  He's now on a raw food diet so can no longer eat them.  You can give him a call at 8180037"

"Hi Kristen,  can you post photos?  That sounds like a great idea.  I saw my neighbour converted a set of drawers and nailed it a meter off the ground to a palm tree.  The chooks walked up a little ramp to get into their nesting…"

Poultry pellets without palm kernal?

I picked up some Budget Poultry pellets from Pak n Sav.  I really should've looked on the ingredients before buying it, because it has palm kernal.  Does anyone know where I can get affordable feed in West Auckland without palm kernal as an ingredient?  The chickens get food scraps but they really need something else to supplement their diet.See More

Just moved into my own house in Henderson Central on 700 sq metres of land in June 2010

I haven't had a chance to put in a garden yet. I think I'll have a front yard veggie garden justo make make a statement. But I do have hens that are freeranging and laying some lovely eggs.
