I'm an organic gardener and studying organic gardening.
I have a black sand garden in port waikato, and an family garden with lots of space and potential nearby, I grow maori potatoes, spuds, tomatoes, garlic, celery, beets, kamokamo, gerkins etc but would love to expand on the family land and produce some larger quantities of lovely food.

Hey hey, yeah I've had a go. But being on tank water is a bit of an issue as the sand gets pretty dry. Potatoes seem to do better. whoa mum and I have a mean pumpkin and kamo kamo patch, going to pick more now. Yippee. Oh and I had a job interveiw, I've got my fingers crossed! Take care, chat soon
Hey Tim, how are ya? Have you tried growing kumara in your garden? I would think they'd love the sand, yeah? I'm thinking of giving them a go here next summer but might have to rig something up in the greenhouse to keep them happy ... hmmm
