I’m in my final year of a 4 year industrial design degree at Massey University.

For our final year each student decides on a problem or an area that they would like to improve on. We then spend the entire year researching and developing this.

For my final year project I want to make sustainable living more achievable for non-property owners. One of the ways in which I believe this could be achieved is a product that allows people to grow their own vegetables.

Therefore if someone who has experience with growing a vegetable garden could spare some time to answer a few questions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you feel you could help please get in touch with me.

Might be useful for your project.
A working bee group could be great, if you are involved in such group you can call it the moving day!!! without owing any favor at all.

I think you are far from my place, but you are wellcome to join.

Join the virtual one in oooby, you dont have to join the real one.

One day you come home, another day somebody else home and then to your place.

Sharing ideas, drinks, and of course work and produce.

Working bees is people power, essential for people who are not owners.

Sure can, when is a good time for you? I have a seed saving workshop all day on Saturday so that's out. Do you have time during the week? Afternoons work best for me.

Watch this movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSYHU4FXRtg

I dont know if it is complete, I watch the DVD at Auckland University. I think the guy there was the guy who told me that quote the day of the movie.

Its about lots of things in terms of food and oil crisis. Really inspirational.

Hi Andrea,

I'd love to talk more about your final year project. I'm working to promote and enable food growing in the urban environment, with focus on building community through shared garden projects. If you're keen, it would be great to have a chat about what you've been thinking so far, and whether I can help you with my experience working with people to grow food in small spaces.

My email is emily@urbanpantry.co.nz if you're keen to arrange to have a chat.

Emily
