Does Geurnes have a Transition initiative? The closeness of island populations are great for these sort of intiatives!

I spent a good bit of time paddling kayaks of various types and sizes all around the Victoria/Nanaimo area and then joined a friend on a 28' 3-man Baidarka and paddled from Prince Ruppert to Vancouver Island (that was way back on 1978 - I know because I had my 21st birthday half way down that coast.)

Enjoy looking around here, the videos are great and the exchange groups are working well. And please do invite your friends and let's see if we can generate enough action to get an Ooooby Store opening on Geurnes!
