Vege Rotation Home Garden, Manawatu NZ

Starting my Garden 3 years ago I was thinking through where to start. I knew that the 'Dear guru' pages were full of questions about beautiful leaved brocoli that didn't form heads, and other such problems associated with wrong nutrient and plant combinations. I wanted to start my garden in a way that would replenish the soil as I went.

Fungus Eating Ladybirds

I was wondering what these little critters were. They always appear on my courgettes when the powdery mildew breaks out. Now I know they are fungus eating ladybirds.  They are rather beautiful :)

Help!! Do You Have Any Natural Solutions for Preventing Bug Bites that WORK!!

With the hot weather here

(we are in the middle of a week with 35C to 42C)

I have waited until after dark to water and tend to the plants.

I have found that the bugs have it in for me and merrily bite inbetween the squirts of insect…

Spread the Garden Bug through the Home For Sale Market

We are selling our house and purely for the sale I have made a raised herb and vegetable garden, as well as growing grapes, strawberries, figs, almonds, lemons ... I have kept it all simple so it all looks easy to manage and ready to enjoy.

Many people I have since met have never enjoyed the simple bliss of home grown strawberries and the grapes, tomatoes and capsicum…
