Does anyone has experiences with planting herbs and flowers which can be used as natural remedies? I'd love to create a little "health heaven" in my garden....already bought Aloa Vera, thinking of jasmine, echinacea, chamomille...ideas, hints and tips are welcome. thanks!
I've been working on this for a while with lots of help from Heather of Ebrainz and it's online and ready for people to join in. I'm excited to be able to offer my experience and passion to help others grow more food organically....

Once the legumes and Cucabits are cleaned up this is when you empty you well rotted compost into the bed. Work this in with a series of tripple weeding. Deep weeding first followed by two rounds of shallow weeding. A lovely sharp hoe over the surface works wonders.

After your Spuds and Toms are cleaned up apply some lime to your soil and sow your mustard seeds for a winter green crop........ Dig this in before it flowers.
This plot now belongs to the pea and beans. Your cucumbers, zuchini and melons can join this rotation. More reading I have done suggests putting the corn into this group as well.
Sow corn in September, November and January....
Sow more annual beans as the flowers begin to show on the last…Continue

May is really my changeover. From May onwards this is the plot you can put your winter greens.
I try not to disturb the soil too much.
Hunt for snails before you plant your seedlings! as I write this my mind races to the tender wee seedlings out there fending off the snails and slugs! Argh!Upside down pottery is good with little doorways scooped out of the soil. Check them daily to dispose of the slimmies. I feed them to the chooks.
