Aren’t we a lucky bunch!  Life is so easy for us really, isn’t it?  Sure we have plenty that we can complain about, but when all is said and done, living here in New Zealand is pretty cruisy.  Just think about food for example.  Our supermarkets are full to the brim with more calories than you could care to count.  We can pop into a choice of hundreds of ready-to-eat food outlets at a whim and compared to many other places, our meals are really quite affordable.

So why would we want to change anything with our food systems?  Well, it’s not so much that we ‘want’ to change, it’s more that due to increasing energy costs and volatile global economic conditions, our food systems simply ‘must’ change if we’re going to keep our food accessible and affordable.  That’s why we’re busy here at Ooooby building the food system of the future.  The bonus is that in designing a new system we can also make our food more healthy, fresh, honest and fair for everyone involved.
