There was a very interesting article on Sunday tonight, showing how a new green revolution is taking place. Of course we all knew, but it seems the media is cottoning on to the fact that across the nation people are reconnecting with their soil and in some ways their communities by planting their gardens and harvesting and sharing their own crops... awesome. Apparently kids in Ed Hillary School have started gardens at their own homes once they got the gardening bug at school. How wonderful is that? I'm keen to get the kids at my daughter's school involved - maybe we can organise a student garden at her school. It's a bit like the Jamie Oliver cooking thing. Get a little bit of knowledge out there in the community and it has the potential to keep growing and growing...
