You should definitely check out www.terraquaculture.net and hook up with Prof Haikai Tane, who lives and works in Twizel, and is the guru about sustainable development and sustainable farming .... especially with regard to habitat mapping, water, and productivity.

hello Benjamin, do check out Robyn & Robert Guyton's food forest in Riverton and the SCES where you can order heritage fruit trees this autumn. Many of the members here on ooooby are also seed guardians for Koanga, the Southland Seed Savers Network, Southern Seed Exchange etc. I've found everyone really generous and willing to share their knowledge as well as swapping seeds.
