Hey Jacob:-) I must post some updated photos, my garden is Evolving!! :-) Yes the rat was stunned from poison and wondering around early morning on the front porch, to our cat's delight! My Tamarilo's are HUGE, if the bugs etc don't kill them first it's looking like a bumper crop next season:-) How is your spring garden?

Hi Jacob, would you be interested in attending this Saturday for the Raw workshop? We've received an amazing response, and a little community of raw foodist's will surely develop out of this. We have space for you, if you would like to contact me on 6640 so I can forward you all the details.

Hi Jacob,

Did you get my message on Oooby the other day about the Raw Vegan pot luck this Saturday in Howick. I sent a link for you to click on and join a new group of Raw Vegans. I'm likely to go if you'd like a ride? my phone number is Ak 815 7366.

Hi! yes we are all about building the support network in adopting and sharing the ALL-RAW life..the upcoming workshop, just posted, should be a great connecting point for us all- and from this we hope to start a monthly dinner- as Kat mentioned, rotating around the households who are keen to participate. Will keep you posted on that. Hope you can make the workshop- Linda will be facilitating and has an extensive background in RAW cuisine. We'll encourage people to bring from their back yards, to create Green smoothies and other delights using what we are already growing. Yipeee!

On second thoughts... maybe if we get enough people interested he'll come to Waiheke and do a talk here too. Pete wants to hear him and I know a few other people who'd be interested too.....

Hey, I think I'll go to Sergei's talk. I've watched a few you tube videos on him. Let me know if you go as I've never been to Ellerslie before so maybe we can travel together :)

Hey Jacob, thanks for the message. There's quite a few of us raw foodies on Waiheke so you've got plenty of company! Do you know Sophia? She's planning on organizing a raw food pot luck or something like that - and I've had the same thought so one of us will hopefully get round to it soon and we can all meet each other! As for food forests / permaculture etc - do you know about the permaculture course happening in May? That will give heaps of info. Otherwise Steve (Sophia's man - they're both in the raw foodies group on Ooooby) is a landscaper and a permaculturist so a good person to talk to. I'm not so hot at the practical side.... my garden just all died on me and so now we've hired a gardener. Look forward to meeting you around the Island somewhere :)

Yes, to the Comment Back. You can view these in a "Thread" - see option when you comment back. Wouldnt make a different site for C garden - too much work and not enough reason.

Hi Jacob - a tip: If you were to reply to Sandra, on her page (clicking on her picture and leaving a comment), it would be more direct and you could have some conversation there, rather than on a discussion called: "Ostend Community Garden Ooooby Page Help Please!

You may also want to start a new discussion on the Ostend Garden Group, and link to it, from that ..oooby Page Help.. discussion (you can edit the original discussion.

Just some thoughts for you.

Twin tub and wringer for three years (with emergency trips to town) and one year with 'real' washer. I know which one I prefer.

Hi Jacob, yes I got a message in my inbox for both comments this time, sometimes they don't show up though so I always check my page too, there is usually a 'follow this' at the bottom of discussions etc you can click, and also there are preferences of what you want to be notified about in the " manage my page' section on the left under your profile photo. I've only been on the west coast 15 years, I was told by the 'locals' that it takes at least 20 before you are considered a true coaster! in that time I have learnt a lot about gardening by trial and error
