I noticed the soil is very sandy, so good advice on the compost. Would you recommend container gardening for this reason? Or just dig in and compost - as that might help with water...

I just moved to Auckland and am also in Te Atatu peninsula area... I would love a gardening buddy and someone who knows this climate for advice. I am used to desert gardening but need to get to know this climate! :)
