'Yates' seeds have been around since my grandfather was a lad. The freaky fruit and veg are always a novelty, and I will make sure to save it next time.

Do you have a plentiful supply of a wide and varied vegetable seed supply in New Zealand? I mean, I can't even get two headed beet roots.

If you followed due process regarding the exportation of seeds to NZ (quarantine) etc, you may find yourself with an interesting cottage industry?

I'm just wondering if we can get it past these guys: http://www.biosecurity.govt.nz/

I surley would hate to create an international incident! I guess I could hide them in my underwear and just fly in. That seems to be easy to do these days! :)

Hiya

Have not chatted to you for a while, so wondering what you are up to in the garden/basement?
Noticed you and Richard talking about seed/importing. As an island nation we have strict regulations but it would be gr8 to think you could swap seeds.
I bought one Goji plant and have taken about 10 cuttings from it...so far so good. Wouldn't it be brilliant if the planet slowly turned red from the reflection of Goji berries in the sun?

As you suggested I piled on the pea staw mulch, filled up the open milk bottles with water each other nite and the winter veg roots have found the sheep poo...we are all as happy as !
Go well.

Hello, again! I just looked it up and that red cabbage is called Scarlet O'Hara. And we have three chooks/chookies!
I must say I do enjoy your garden. You have an enthusiasm and sense of humour I like! And my husband who is a woodcrafter is very impressed with your workmanship.

Love the passion you show for gardening. I think we are two peas from the same pod.

Your seed raising glass house has such an intelligent design. Brilliant planning.
Extreme weather conditions just encourage us to be more creative.

Grow well, young 'Stillcookin'

I had a look at your videos on youtube, so impressive, will you feature them here on your ooooby page? have you any updates on those melons and tomatoes? I'd love to see them fully grown.

I am so impressed with your hot house. Well done. I am trying to grow goji too but nothing yet. I just love your garden too. Isn't it fun?

Hello,
The city has plenty of sun....that is unless you're in between tall buildings! Where are you?

We put a drip system in our park strip and have the opportunity to set one up in the veggie beds. I like hand watering...very theraputic. What sort of water catchment system are you thinking about? Love the pictures. jim

Hi and welcome to Ooooby. That snow looks challenging. Love your garden and greenhouse. I'd like to try growing mushrooms. I've tried the ordinary type but wasn't very successful. Great to have your expertise and humour on Ooooby..
