Hi Pete,
I'm not sure you are the right person to contact, but messaging does not appear to be working?

HI Pete,

Thanks... Have been having a jolly o time in the garden.  Hope you guys are settling in well in your new home and gardens toooo!

I went to share my ooooby photos on a friend's FB page - via friend's private message and it seemed to take the link ok- within his message box - but when I go to click on that link to see if it works, an  ooooby page error comes up. Yet On my FB page it appears fine and the link goes to the ooooby photos.

Would love to share my ooooby album with a few folks..

Thanks.g

On one side, we have a large area of former rich alluvial farmland being scraped into shape for a new suburb. This will take advantage of the great train system we have here (I wish the developers could be asked to restore a similar area of arable land in another location).  The new station being built is on the site of what used to be a loading station for vegetables supplied to the city, in the early 20th century.

On the other hand, we have old farmers who are willing to give up some of their land for renting to local people for gardening. And no-one steals our vegetables, and the community tool shed remains unlocked at all times, day and night, and nothing goes missing.

Large areas of land continue to be stolen from the agricultural sector, in a country that is dangerously dependent on imported food - but the small things that matter to us everyday, like trust in our neigbours, have not yet been stolen.

Are you still looking for more growers in Auckland?

I remember that you used to have a group asking for that.

Can you give me the link please?

I was chatting with a guy who is building a food distribution and support service for people in south auckland today - Its called kaiwaka. They are at the founding stages and I suggested he speak with you. Would you be interested incollaborating to serve a Maori audience?

Awesome meeting you too. Look forward to keeping in touch

Sorry about the delay in replying. Yes we are members of  NZTCA, I am on the committee of the Northern Branch & Northern Heritage Fruit Tree Trust. Both of us have given talks in the past (CCS - me, Orchard design, Julie, preserving your surpluses) (Auck Permaculture Workshop- me, Backyard Orcharding) and I have talked at the OOOOBYversity on fruit tree selection for Auckland.

We are keen supporters of Ooooby and are always willing to discus ways of helping our community.

What can your eye desire to see, yours ears to hear, your mouth to take, or your nose smell, that is not to be had in an orchard, with abundance of variety?

Hi Pete

Tim Lynch at Planet FM recommended I get in touch with you.

Have you heard of the Prana New Year Festival? It happens from the 30 Dec to the 3rd of Jan in Opoutere, Coromandel, attracts over 1000 aware and conscious people, and is brilliant fun! www.prana.co.nz

This year we are creating a new Sustainability Village where organisations who are really contributing to sustainable living will have stalls where they can share information with festival goers. The aim is to provide a space where people can hang out and learn more about how to live sustainably and the specific skills needed for this.

We would love for Ooooby to be part of this village? If you see this as a possibility call/text me on 0226972913 or skype emmaskellern so we can discuss more.

Thank you
Emma from Prana
