hope you're having fun in the sun. we've just been on a campervan trip around the bottom of the North Island for a month, so Waiheke is feeling quite tropical in comparison.
have altered blog post :) that was as small as i could get the photo with my limited technical knowledge.
Thanks, I thought it must have been a glitch. I am indeed a real live human deeply interested in the future of locally grown/self grown/sustainably grown food.
And I think You are doing a tremendous job! I am meeting so many interesting people and spending quite a lot of time on google maps trying to find them. Learning a lot! It's great fun. Thank You!
Hi Pete
I am going on holiday today-10 days camper vanning in Northland.Hope to visit Koanga gardens.
I haven't promoted the Oooobymeet outside Ooooby this time.
Would like to get to know the current members and go on from there with everyones ideas.
I'm sure we will move on to bigger things involving more of the community.
Janet has asked me to work on a stall at the Rransition towns market day so tha will generate more interest and I'll take some fliers to the Hawkes Bay House and garden show in September.
Thanks for keeping in touch.Looks like you are having a marvelous time.
Hello! More and more school are getting into the garden thing. In our area the council is willing to step in when the govt. pulls out, so the possibilities are growing. Putaruru has five community patches and all the schools there and Lichfield and Tirau have gardens. Tokoroa is catching up slowly. Would these groups be able to use Ooooby or is that beyond the scope of what you planned? I thought it would be good for the school groups to keep a blog and watch what others are doing. Or maybe they would have to set up their own site?
Hey I met you at the community currencies conference. I have set up a market stall in wellington cbd where we well organic food i.e bread, soup...
I am wondering about the idea of setting up a ooooby hub where locavores can bring their home grown goods for trade and exchange - i remember you showing this concept to me during your presentation. Could you please get back to me with the details on how this works and what it would take to get started?
Thanks Pete! I have a feeling that New Yorker's would love this site...
:O) Everyone is just trying to survive these days, and eating/buying local and fresh, is long overdue; can't get much better than your own backyard. I am looking forward to giving it a shot...
Thanks for the welcome Pete.
I'm originally from the UK and been In Au for nearly 20 years, still can't get used to the whole Summer in Winter senario or going North rather than South to find the warmer weather LOL
Thanks Pete... it's actually a pic from a facebook game, Farmville. Even when I'm online I'm addicted to gardening lol. Great site here, good on ya for getting it going :)
