hi James. I'm not very good at this stuff. Its like Facebook - I got on there by mistake and suddenly found I had all these friends, even someone who wanted me to join there gang! I forget to come in here so your email was a good reminder. We've had a friend staying and tomorrow I'm off to the mainland for the weekend with family things. Is there a time next week that works for you apart from middle of the day Wednesday? Love to see you. luv, glenda
ok...I will give that a go over the weekend... gives rise to all my technophobias but nothing ventured and all that!!

This one was a complete fluke - he was indeed in a toilet, but 900km west of Brisbane, in the bush... where there aren't normally many frogs (except the occasional burrowing frog). He was a lovely surprise.
Hi James, thanks for that! I coordinate a community garden out here in Ranui which is a lovely job that enables me to bring together my community develpoment skills and gardening which is really rewarding. There are alot of local people ith sucha huge amount of knowledge about permaculture, composting, growing and cooking organic food -it is so good to have a 'hub' where peope can come and share all that knowledge with each other. This website is going to be so useful for us all. I do know of the Sanctuary but haven't got there yet, I don't live in Ranui myself! Cheers

Thanks James, that's Eli. I can get him and Felix out there working for me. Did you see the network I have started? www.bikewaiheke.ning.com
Thanks for the advice.
Hi James, Claire Mummery here, I am looking for somewhere to live that I can grow food, or develop someones land with food, fruit, herbs, medicinal plants etc. I am not really sure where to put this on the site and wondered if you could advise me. I can vacate over christmas etc, the ideal would be to either manage a property or develop one for someone. Maybe a gardeners house or something of the similar. There is me and my daughter (11) Kiah. If you could point me in the right direction as to where to put this on the ooooby site it would be very much appreciated. Thanks Claire
James, thank you for the encouragement. I look forward to seeing how it all works. My daughter (step really) turned me on to Ooooby and I am eager to see what it (and I ) have to offer. best, Jennifer
Thanks James. Its just been going for about six or seven months now and I'm really pleased with the amount of food it has produced. I picked 11 pumkins and two buckets of potatoes out of it recently. I am in Massey, and surrounded by bush so had to place the garden where it got the most sunshine. In the midddle of the front yard!
we'll be setting that stall up in no time buddy ...i'm preparing the sign as we speak!

Thanks for that. I was going to upload a photo of myself and then found this one I took when we grew some carrots a while back. :) Maybe we should have personal pics AND veggie pics...ormaybe we already do and I just haven't found everything!
You can guess which carrot is from Coles!

Yep, I get that ... feels like it will naturally happen too. Thanks for your time yesterday. Cheers
Hi, James. Last night was my first visit to Kenmore TT. It was great to meet Pete and pick up some of his energy. I am running for Greens in the area next state election (greenupmoggill.org), and this kind of thing makes me feel superfluous. The big problem with facing up to climate change and peak oil is to get past the perception that the only solution is to go back to the dark ages, and live in a smelly hut with life a daily grind. Demonstrating in practice that a different life is not only possible but fun is one of the most important things we can do. So TT and ooooby are great projects.
