In the spirit of Michael Pollan's 36 hour dinner party with a single wood fire, and also in the spirit of Ooooby!, we'd like to contribute to the food side of things at the upcoming Ecosapiens hui in Taranaki by stoking an ongoing fire in a (portable) wood oven and inviting participants to bring along food to cook that they have either grown, foraged or… Continue

Hey there doctors, Hope you well and not bossing those worms around too much. Plus making music in the mornings. We are busy mucking about in the mud. It's been a wet winter up here. Come over and try our home made ginger beer (Any time) or apple juice (March - May). We would love to see you. We always have accommodation available for a level headed man and/or a gentle kind of girl. Mucho aroha. Helen etc.

Hi Jacob and Hana,

My name is Andrea Ellis and I'm a new ooooby member. I’m currently in my final year of a 4 year industrial design degree at Massey University.

For our final year each student decides on a problem or an area that they would like to improve on. We then spend the entire year researching and developing this.

For my final year project I want to make sustainable living more achievable for non-property owners. One of the ways in which I believe this could be achieved is a product that allows people to grow their own vegetables that maybe can be easily transported and does not impact on the property/land.

Therefore I am emailing in the hope that you or someone you know who has experience with growing a vegetable garden could spare some time to answer a few questions it would be greatly appreciated.

If you feel you could help please get in touch with me.
