The Well-Fed Neighbor Alliance is a grassroots movement working toward a vision of a peaceful, abundant and sustainable future. Together, people of the Ozarks are fostering neighbor-to-neighbor partnerships to re-establish our local food supply by planting community gardens, supporting local family farms and area farmer's markets.
The 1000 Gardens Project and the Ozarks Local Cuisine Co-op are two of many activities initiated by alliance individuals and groups united in building rural-urban food security. At this pivotal point in our history, we must act.
Communicate with us. What must we do to raise community awareness quickly? The Well-Fed Neighbor Alliance is part of the larger Transition Towns movement, a world-wide volunteer initiative seeking to empower people to create local jobs and cottage industry, decrease oil dependency, and promote community resilience and cooperation.
